Installation Guide
This section covers the steps to get B2B Plus installed and connected to a Shopify store. Confirm the store meets the requirements in App Requirements before starting.
Installation steps
-
Install the app — Open B2B Plus from the Shopify App Store (or the private install link provided for your store) and click Install. Shopify will prompt for confirmation before the app is added to the store's Apps list.
-
Review and approve permissions — Shopify displays the access scopes B2B Plus is requesting (Products, Orders, Customers, Draft Orders, Inventory, and related read/write permissions, as listed in Permissions & Access). Approving these is required for the app to function—declining any of them will limit functionality until they are granted.
-
Land on the B2B Plus Home screen — Once installed, the app appears under Apps in the left-hand Shopify navigation. Opening it for the first time lands on the Dashboard, which will show all-zero metrics until data has synced and orders start flowing through.
-
Run the initial Shopify data sync — From Settings, use Sync all (companies, locations, customers, products) to pull existing B2B companies, locations, customers, and products into B2B Plus for the first time. This is the same sync tool covered in Shopify data sync, and is required before Line Sheets, Inventory, and Sales Rep assignments will show accurate data.
-
Generate API credentials (optional) — If any external system (ERP, inventory feed, accounting software) needs to talk to B2B Plus, generate the store's API key and secret from Settings and grant only the scopes that integration needs, as described in API Credentials & Scopes.
-
Complete pre-setup configuration — Before going live, work through this Pre-setup Guide starting at Configure shipping windows—ship windows, inventory thresholds, approval rules, and the offline order form logo all have sensible defaults, but should be reviewed against your actual wholesale operation before customers and reps start placing orders.
After installation
Installation adds B2B Plus to the store; it does not by itself migrate historical orders, companies, or inventory. Use Shopify data sync after install to bring in existing records, and confirm at least one Company and Company Location already exist in Shopify, since B2B Plus builds on top of Shopify's native B2B data model rather than replacing it.
