Business Rules
Rules that govern how orders are created in B2B Plus, how they split, and how exports work.
In this guide:
Order Creation Rules
Shopify Order Creation
A B2B Plus order always originates from a real Shopify order — placed by a customer, a sales rep on their behalf, or created as a draft order that is later completed. See Draft Orders.
B2B Order Generation
B2B Plus reads the resulting Shopify order and, if splitting is enabled, generates the corresponding shipment rows based on the configured property.
Delivery Window Assignment
Each line item's delivery window comes from its inventory record's Available From/To dates at the time of order placement.
Order Splitting Rules
Products with Different Ship Dates
Become separate shipments when the store splits by delivery window or requested ship date. See Order Splitting.
Season-Based Splitting
When Season is the configured split property, line items from different seasons never share a shipment.
Delivery Window Logic
The exact date fields compared depend on whether Inventory Dates is configured for a single date or a start/end range. Changing the split setting does not retroactively re-split existing orders.
Export Rules
Export Permissions
Row-level and page-level exports are available to any staff account with access to the Orders module; no separate export-specific permission exists today.
File Generation
Row and header-button exports generate synchronously in the browser. There is no background export queue for Orders the way there is for Inventory uploads.
Report Availability
Page Export is limited to the current page of results (25 rows). A full filtered export requires paging through results or using per-order downloads. See Exporting Orders.
