Business Rules
Rules that govern how line sheets publish and how products appear to buyers.
In this guide:
Publication Rules
Publish Date Behavior
A new line sheet's Publish start date cannot be set in the past. Once saved, the catalog becomes eligible to show the moment today's date reaches that start date, provided Status allows it.
End Date Behavior
An end date, when set, must be after the start date. Once it passes, visibility ends automatically.
Automatic Status Changes
B2B Plus suggests and can automatically move a line sheet between Scheduled, Published, and Unpublished based solely on the configured dates — no manual toggling is required once dates are set correctly.
Catalog Rules
Catalog Type Assignment
Every line sheet must have exactly one catalog type — Immediate, Future, Prebook, or All — which applies to all products in that line sheet.
Product Visibility
Products that are available in a company's assigned catalog are visible to that company's customers; products outside any catalog a customer's company is assigned to are not shown to them.
Product Availability
Even when a product is included in a published line sheet, its actual sellable quantity still follows the underlying Inventory record for that catalog type. See Catalog Types and the Inventory module.
