Immediate/ATS Inventory
Immediate and ATS inventory is stock that is physically available and ready to sell without a delivery delay. Use this guide to understand how the type works on the storefront and when to use it.
In this guide:
Overview
The Type field classifies each inventory record by when and how it can be sold on the storefront. It is passed as the TYPE column in CSV uploads, or used as a filter on the Inventory page. Values are case-insensitive, and common aliases are accepted automatically — for example, ATS Future, ATS-Future, and ats future all map to the same ATS Future type. Leave TYPE blank when a row does not need a type classification.
| Type | When to Use | Storefront Behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Immediate | Stock is available to sell now | Standard quantity limits; no delivery delay |
| ATS | Same as Immediate (alternate label) | Same as Immediate |
| Future | Stock ships on a future delivery date | Standard quantity limits; requires availability dates |
| ATS Future | Same as Future (alternate label) | Same as Future |
| Prebook | Pre-orders before stock arrives | Buyers can order beyond available quantity |
| Booking | Same as Prebook (alternate label) | Same as Prebook |
Types are grouped into three profiles that control how inventory is matched to orders:
| Profile | Types | Summary |
|---|---|---|
| Immediate | Immediate, ATS | Sellable now — no future delivery window required |
| Future | Future, ATS Future | Sellable with a delivery window — set Available From (and To, if using a date range) |
| Booking | Prebook, Booking | Booking / pre-order — quantities are not capped to available stock on the storefront |
On the storefront Product Order Matrix, buyers typically see Immediate, Future, and Prebook as the visible order types. ATS, ATS Future, and Booking are alternate internal labels for the same behavior and may not appear as separate filter options.
