Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions about inventory types, storefront visibility, CSV imports, and purchase orders.

In this guide:

What is Immediate Inventory?

Stock that is available to sell right now, with no delivery delay and standard quantity limits. See Immediate/ATS Inventory.

What is Future Inventory?

Stock that ships on a known future delivery date, using an Available From (and optionally Available To) date. See Future Inventory.

What is Prebook Inventory?

Pre-orders taken against stock that hasn't arrived yet, which buyers can order beyond the currently available quantity. See Prebook/Booking Inventory.

Why is my inventory not visible?

Most commonly because the record has expired (its Available To date is in the past), doesn't match the buyer's current filters, or Quantity is zero. See Inventory Not Displayed.

Why can't I import inventory?

Check Upload History for the specific error — the most common causes are an invalid SKU, an unmapped warehouse, or an incorrect date format. See Importing Inventory.

How do Purchase Orders affect inventory?

Receiving a purchase order moves its quantity from Incoming into sellable Quantity and On-hand. See Inventory Calculations.

Negative or low inventory can also trigger new purchase orders directly from the Inventory page. See Generate Purchase Orders.

Can I upload inventory for multiple warehouses at once?

Yes — include multiple Shopify location IDs across rows in the WAREHOUSE column; each location becomes its own record.

What happens to committed stock during Full Replace?

The system warns you and requires acknowledgment before deleting any records that have committed quantities.

Can I undo an inventory upload?

There is no automatic undo — upload corrected data instead, and consider keeping backup snapshots before large or Full replace uploads.

What's the difference between Quantity and On-hand?

Quantity is sellable stock; On-hand includes both sellable stock and unavailable buckets (damaged, QC, etc.) — see Understanding Inventory Counts.

Where do I turn on overselling for a warehouse?

Settings → Warehouse Inventory Settings. Toggle Allow overselling and optionally set a Max cap. See Warehouse Overselling and Max Cap.

What does Max cap do?

It limits how many units can be sold past zero once overselling is on. Leave it blank to allow unlimited overselling for that warehouse.
